49k miles, March 1997 --- Piston Rods, Pins, and Rings replaced <p>
55k miles, July 1997 --- New horn (God alone knows why a horn can break). <p>
65k miles, June 1998 --- New EGR valve needed after engine started stalling and runing bad.
The "Service Engine" light did come on 5 miles before it started stalling.<p>77k miles, July 1999 --- Muffler strap rusted through. $28 to replace. But why is a stainless steel muffler held on by a steel strap?
<p>129k miles, December 2003 --- standard brake work on front brakes.</p>
<p>130k miles, January 2004 --- replaced muffler after strap rusted through for the third time.</p>
<p>131k miles, February 2004 --- EGR valve serviced after being clogged with carbon buildup.  We're now adding about one quart of oil with every fillup.</p>
<p>133k miles, March 2004 --- The end of the Saturn Saga.  Rear-ended by a very nice doctor with good insurance who should loose his cellphone license.</p>
